Abstracts and sponsorship

CTA and its partners appreciate the overwhelming response to the calls for papers, case studies, videos, posters, photo collages, journalists competition and for sponsorship for the international conference on extension. We received 415 abstracts, 145 submissions for the journalists’ competition, 625 requests for sponsorship, 18 booth registrations and 131 self-sponsored delegates.

We have completed the evaluation of abstracts and have communicated with those whose abstracts were accepted for presentation either as a paper, extended abstract, video, case study, poster  or photo collage. The process was exhaustive as we aimed for balance on the technical content as well as provide opportunities for national, regional and international perspectives from a range of stakeholders. The participants whose abstracts were accepted, have been notified. If you were among those selected, we encourage you to submit your revised abstract by September 15 for it to be included on the conference programme.

For those of you whose abstracts were not selected, we thank you for the interest and for submitting an abstract. We assure you that given the response, the selection process was tough and encourage you to continue being actively engaged in the conference through the conference website, online e-discussion and social media tools. We will provide a webcast of the conference so that those of you who cannot join us in Nairobi, will be able to follow the conference on the conference website.

The sponsorship selection process has also been completed and we shall be contacting both sponsored and self-sponsored delegates during the course of this week.

We look forward to your continued engagement in the conference and to continued collaboration.
